Sensei Jim McElhanon is a 4th Dan in Aikido and has been practicing the art for over 14 years. Sensei McElhanon began his study of Aikido under Master Robert Liedke of New Haven, CT. Master Liedke, a veteran martial artist, developed his own style of Aikido which combines the useful techniques of traditional Aikido applied in a practical and realistic manner. Sensei McElhanon's school, based in Livermore, CA, is one of three schools in the entire country which teaches this unique style and approach to Aikido. This application of Aikido and Aiki-Jitsu is extremely effective, unlike what traditional aikido has become, and is used in the military and law enforcement.

Class starts at 7:00pm every Monday andWednesday and at 6:30pm on Friday. Private classes are also available.
